Staff to present "green tick" at mask distribution points

An important part of preventing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping our staff and patients safe is screening staff prior to the commencement of their shift.

The staff self-screening process is important as it determines whether you are at risk of having COVID-19 by asking three quick questions:

  • Do you have symptoms of COVID-19?
  • Have you been identified as a close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and in quarantine?
  • Have you returned from overseas in the past 14 days?

If you answer no to these questions you’ll receive a green tick confirming that it is safe for you to attend work. If you answer yes to any of these questions you’ll receive a red cross and instructions on what to do next.

We recently requested that you complete the self-screening tool prior to commencing your shift and that you present your green tick to your manager.

To streamline this process, we will now be checking your green tick each time you come to work at the staff mask distribution points which are located at main entry points at each campus.

We know that there have been some teething issues with the introduction of this process. We will be appointing additional staff to ensure that you can get to work as quickly as possible. I do ask for your patience and understanding though – we will do our best to make this as quick and easy as possible and will refine our approach as required.

Please ensure that you complete the online self-screening tool prior to arriving at work for your shift. If you’d prefer not to use the online tool, you can download a copy of the self-screening form.

Please refer to the frequently asked questions for more details about the process.

Once again, thank you for your ongoing support in helping us effectively manage the pandemic.
