eBilling goes live
Meet the QManager Super Users - the team who are out and about at Austin Health this week to assist staff with the transition to electronic Billing and Appointment Outcomes.
eBilling - which does away with all paper-based billing for Specialist Clinics and moves it into QManager - launched yesterday. An official launch was held in Clinic 4 East at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.
The new system affects all public and private Specialist Clinics at the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals, and also brings appointment outcomes into the QManager system. As well as the help of roving Super Users, staff have access to a range of training options.
Jason Payne, Executive Director Clinical Operations and Ambulatory Services, congratulated all staff involved commending the collaborative effort required to deliver this project into Specialist Clinics from today.
Kim O'Sullivan, Director Patient Flow acknowledged the close working relationship with Senior Medical Staff was imperative to ensure the new system meets clinician needs.
She noted ‘It was important to streamline manual processes for everyone in clinic so that our clinicians can focus on patient care, our clinic staff can provide more consumer interaction rather than paper transactions and our consumers can benefit from a leaner process'.
‘We make special mention to Katie, Susan and our Specialist Clinics team who collectively are excited to see this implemented today and have supported the many projects undertaken in our environment to bring improvements whilst continuing on with our daily operations'.
Project Manager Gwen Coburn says that yesterday's launch is the culmination of three years' work by three different project teams.
