Got research you'd like to share with the world?
"ResearchFest is a celebration of knowledge, curiosity and a desire to help others," says Geraldine Richards, Project Officer for the Office of Research.
Researchers who submit an abstract by 31 July have the opportunity to share how they're using science to help others. They'll also have the chance to win part of $14,000 in prizes and travel scholarships.
Staff from Austin Health and Austin Health Life Sciences, which includes The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Mercy Hospital for Women, ONJCRI and University of Melbourne are welcome to submit abstracts.
"It's fantastic to see abstracts from established researchers, first time researchers and student researchers as well.
"It's so exciting to see the extensive range of research happening at Austin Health right now. There's so many incredible researchers who're passionate about helping people live healthier lives," says Geraldine.
The groups with the most abstract submissions so far include, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, Neurosciences and Infectious Diseases.
The $14,000 in prizes and grants will mean that eligible researchers can attend overseas conferences to further their research careers.
